New 46V XLR Regulator Board for HPB-5C

(Minneapolis, MN) – Micro Control Company announces the release of the new HPB-5C 46V XLR regulator board. The 46V XLR regulator board is offered as an alternative to the standard 6V regulator board that comes standard with HPB-5C systems. The higher voltage range allows customers to run higher voltage devices in an existing upgraded system.
Designed to deliver precise, reliable power for a wide range of device-under-test (DUT) requirements including power management ICs (PMICs), the 46V XLR regulator board supplies power to burn-in boards and continuously reports voltage and current levels back to the system controller. The board includes programmable circuits to respond to over-voltage (OVP), under-voltage (UVP), and over-current (OCP) conditions, automatically powering down affected supplies to safeguard DUTs.
Each regulator board provides 16 independently programmable supplies, including:
• 8 high-voltage supplies: 0 to 46V, up to 8A, with a maximum of 250W per channel
• 8 low-voltage supplies: 0 to 6V, up to 10A, with a maximum of 60W per channel
Paired supplies may be linked in parallel using Micro Control Company’s C-Breez Maintenance application to increase available current. When linked, both outputs must be connected on the burn-in board.
The high-current supplies also support programmable current-limit and power-limit modes, enabling operators to set maximum allowable current or power. Once limits are reached, the system automatically reduces voltage to prevent threshold exceedance.
The new 46V XLR regulator board meets the UL low-voltage classifications along with SEMI standards, and CE Marking requirements.
