Micro Control Company Receives 18 System Order for the New HPB-8

(Minneapolis, MN) Micro Control Company, a global leader in burn-in and test systems for packaged devices, announces the receipt of an 18-system order for the new HPB-8 High-Power Burn-In with Test System. Delivery of this order will begin in late 2025, and the HPB-8 High-Power Burn-In with Test Systems will be shipping to two Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSATs) providers in Taiwan. With the capability of the HPB-8 providing 8000 watts per slot, it will meet the extreme high-power demand required for burn-in with test of artificial intelligence (AI) processors. Receipt of this order will allow both OSATs to meet the demands of manufacturing large orders of AI devices for the end customer.
The HPB-8 High-Power Burn-In with Test System is the next generation in Micro Control Company’s line of burn-in with test systems that provide individual temperature control (ITC) per device under test. The HPB-8 offers extreme high-power capability for devices of more than 2000+ watts. Designed for automation, burn-in cycles run through the HPB-8 minimize the amount of handling of these expensive AI processors. The versatile C-Breez™ production application software used for all Micro Control Company burn-in with test systems makes designing and building custom test programs for device qualification and characterization easy, and it is considered a best-in-class operating system by existing customers.
